A Lord of Many Masks (Wycliffe Family Series Book 2) review  3 Tley Eliza sets about trying to find a husband while navigating the treacherous waters of the London ton Just as she begins to make progress with a charming suitor other less welcome feelings surface for William the man busy giving away his smiles to everyone but her Hes the last man in the world who would love her backnot only because he harbors. I knew this book was likely to be good based on how much I enjoyed the first in this seriesBut I didn t expect to love it so completelyAnd I didn t expect it to be better than the first But in my opinion it isI truly loved everything about this book from start to finish Not a dull momentI wasn t just entertained or engaged or diverted you know all those words we use when we re trying to sound impressive I can t truly find one word that describes how I feel about this book But maybe enthralled comes closeIt has everything you could wish for in a Regency clean romance novelI LOVED the clean flirting lessons So wonderfully romantic and amusing at the same timeThe suspense that builds in anticipating the love between Eliza and William is almost painfulAnd yes William s story is about redemption and all that But it was so much The beauty of his character is revealed layer by layer And it s pretty amazing I see why Eliza loves him sosighThe side stories and characters that are incorporated into Eliza and William s story add wonderful suspense and at times a bit of outrage and some tears here and thereOverall this book was extremely well written It s worth the time and emotion spent on itAnd I can only hope and even plead that Matthew will get a story as well Love that guyI am looking forward to hopefully many books from this author

A Lord of Many Masks (Wycliffe Family Series Book 2) review  3 Closely guarded secrets about his past but because he insists true love doesnt existIts up to Eliza to convince him otherwise before the clock runs out And if she can only reveal the man beneath the mask then perhaps her confession isnt the only one to be made This is the second book in the Wycliffe Family Series but can be read as a standalone. I felt that this book was pretty depressing The main characters male and female were supposed to be very good friends highly uncommon in the era Yet they weren t honest with each other Ever That is such an unhealthy relationship that the story almost made me physically ill There were sweet moments but the lies and manipulation were just way beyond my threshold I guess My philosophy is that if taking two minutes and a heap of bravery to put your feelings on line will potentially solve problems or clarify a situation you should speak up and get it over withI get that the author was trying to show that people hide behind masks Maybe my abhorrence of deceit prevented me from fully appreciating the story
