Worn Out by Obedience

Summary ✓ Worn Out by Obedience ´ eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF Presented as a spiritual mentor David is both flawed and on fire He is the person we are and the person we want to be In studying his extended stay in Ziklag 1 Samuel 27–30 readers will see how God often molds our hearts in seasons of brokenness loneliness and disappointment sometimes even in our disobedienceIf you are spiri. Ron Moore s Worn Out by Obedience Recovering from Spiritual Fatigue offers hope to those of us who are tired and weary particularly those of us who feel overburdened by discouragement or abandonment It s a book I wish I d have had in hand over twenty years ago when I was first ordained into ministry Its wisdom is deep and draws upon David s experience in Ziklag where David felt furthest from God and found himself listening to his own advice and leaning less on God What pastor or mature Christian hasn t been there So like I said I wish I d have had this book in hand years agoFor most of us this period of weariness from service even in a life of consistent obedience and faithful Christ following can be overwhelming so Moore s words of counsel are long overdue in the ChurchI received a free copy of this book from Moody Publishing in exchange for my honest review here

Summary ✓ Worn Out by Obedience ´ eBook, ePUB or Kindle PDF Tually weary discouraged or exhausted Worn Out by Obedience will help you to keep going or start moving You’ll learn the signs of spiritual fatigue and how to avoid them You’ll see that God uses all our experiences good and bad to form Christ in us And you’ll remember God’s great grace of rescue recovery and restoration. Moore does a great job of explaining the dangers of spiritual fatigue and how to try to get out The only issue is that he focuses on spiritual fatigue that leads into sin and isolation from God but doesn t address the spiritual fatigue of people who are close to God and not living in sin but just have been working with churches for too long and too fast a pace with too little results He makes brief references to the possibility of this happening but doesn t really address this What Moore does address is extremely helpful and insightful with good reflection uestions at the end of each chapter A solid book but missing a key piece that would allow it to be 5 stars
