Read ☆ My Lord Hades ´ E-book, or Kindle E-pub An on the intervention of the Fates intertwining his future with Persephone She is the siren calling him promising the completion of heart and soul but only a fool accepts the gifts of a siren or fights against the will of the Fate. In all things Persephone and Hades involved this book is definitely one of my favorites Two years ago I ve read Stephannie Berman s My Lord Hades and didn t leave a review After years I ve decided to reread this story and once again fell in love with the characters I liked the twist Berman placed around Hades upbringingThe novel starts with Zeus and Poseidon arguing whether they release Hades from his prison in Tartarus or not After the brother s banter Zeus releases him but with a price of helping him defeat the mighty Titans Hades provides his own side of the bargain However in his mind he wants nothing to do with the children of Cronus Yet that thought shatters when he stumbles upon PersephoneThe likelihood of Hades abducting Persephone revolves around many stories Persephone in her own sheltered world curtsy of Demeter is determined to see the world in her own eyes Exploring them is her greatest wish but seeking what her heart desires is what she wants all the Demeter of course is portrayed as the overbearing mother in a way to put it annoying Hades is my favorite since beneath his dark visage is a soft boy who seeks his mate Persephone s character here is between annoying and not her way of shutting her emotions out from Hades annoyed the heck out of me But later she embraced these emotions which were goodEverything in this book is perfect The only thing that I don t like is the cover The majority of the books that I ve read about Persephone and Hades involved plants pomegranates and the backs of girls portrayed as Persephone

I was really excited to start this book not only is a retelling of one of my favorites myths of all time but the book seemed to have taken just the right tweaks to make it original and enjoyable The idea of Hades being a completely different type of god not only that but an embodiment of the phlegethon river Making him a god driven by pure emotion and passion As a fan of hotblooded brave passionate warriors blackdagger brotherhood style count me in And the changes in how the olympian titan war was ended well I was pretty intrigued by how the rest of the story will enfoldIt was a bit of a dissapointment First things first this book needs some serious editing work I can overlook some faults here and there even some typos since I m very prone to make them myself But a two pov story that seems to just chop one another not a smooth transission between them and even overlaping in time making hard to discern if you re actually reading the same scene from another perspective or going into the next one Not so much I m not saying every erotic romance novel out there should have proper aristotelian unities or uptight narrative structures but an enjoyable reading in which we can immerse ourselves in the emotion of the characters and enjoy their journey towards one another I m not against a love story between a hardened warrior who is a sensitive and a fair man inside with a very innocent girl whose trying to understand her place in the world and slowly falling in love I m not against predestinated couples who are made for each other since the moment of creation And I m obviously not against a female character slowly discovering her own power and proving her worth Actually I rejoice in that kind of stories because they can be so intense the fear of taking that leap and letting yourself loved and to be loved This one didn t have enough of that Sometimes it would tick on it but it seemed that they just wanted to fastpaced to the next scene instead of giving us a little bit of dept about the feelings and motivations of each character Hades would state how he couldn t let himself see Persephone againwith the purpose of protecting her from whichever disaster he might bring to her to go and do it in the next paragraph I understand he wasn t able to refrain his desires that it was his nature to do so But that s the thing I knew it because I could imagine it not because anything in the narrative sugested it I m not even going to talk about Persephone because this will become a rant She was doing so good in accepting her true self she even had great moments which show how resilient she could be But in the end when I expected her to stand for what she truly wanted and be clear about it to her mother a husband she just did it with a scream an a sentence only to wander untill others gave her again the resolution to stand by her choices Not fulfilling at allIn addition the extend passion of which every phlegethon god would fight live consume and eventually show to its couple I never felt it The merge of body mind and soul It wasn t portrayed to the reader it didn t have the urgency such moment should have had I can name endless books of this genre who have portrayed that moment of union as important trascendant not only the description of who touched what and a few emotions here and there But the set of the scene how every touch and caress intense because it was share between those two characters J R Ward is great in doing so Sherrilyn Kenyon could give lectures about it Stephannie Beman should and I m sure she can improve She I am greatly impressed by this book I love the HadesPersephone myth and I m always on the hunt for good novels based on the story surprisingly there are as many as one might expect and several of them are downright awful So my expectations were not all that high when I started to read My Lord Hades I shouldn t have been such a pessimist though because this story is very well done Yes there are several editing issues which is unfortunate but for once I was willing to overlook those in favor of the high pointsThe characterizations of Hades Persephone and the other gods are everything I could have hoped for Also the author put just enough of an original twist on the story to make it fresh without drastically veering away from the foundational myth Most of all I enjoy the way the author handles the vast mythology as a whole using side characters casual mention gossip etc to incorporate the many related stories without getting carried away I will definitely be keeping an eye on this author

PDF/EBOOK (My Lord Hades) This book really needed a better editor but despite that I really liked it This book is not meant to be faithful to mythology many things are changed like Hades not being son of Cronos and Rhea but Eris and etc and there are some tropes I have disliked in all other Hades Persephone books as Demeter being overprotective or having male gods trying to assault Persephone But despite those facts I really could not put down this book and I've re
